Caelo Child Safety Standards

Effective date: September 16, 2026

Caelo has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation ("CSAE") of any kind. This page describes the standards we hold the app to, the measures we use to prevent and detect CSAE content and behavior, and how to report a concern.

Who Caelo is for

Caelo requires everyone to confirm they are at least 13 years old when they create an account, enforced both in the app and on our servers. Caelo is not directed at children, and content or behavior that endangers, sexualizes, or exploits a minor is never permitted, regardless of a user's age or the visibility settings on their account.

How we prevent and detect CSAE content

  • Every image is machine-classified before anyone can see it. Photos added to the app — whether uploaded directly or pulled in from a linked product page — are scanned by an automated image-safety classifier before they are ever hosted in a way another user could view them. Content classified as sexually explicit is blocked outright and never made visible to any user.
  • Automated text screening. Item titles and descriptions are automatically checked for content that may indicate exploitative or otherwise prohibited material.
  • Human review. Reported content and accounts are reviewed by our team, who can remove content, suspend, or permanently disable an account.
  • Blocking and muting. Every user can block or mute another user at any time, immediately cutting off contact.

How to report a concern

Any user, item, or piece of content can be reported directly from within the app (look for the report option on a profile or a piece of content). Reports are reviewed by our team and acted on — including content removal and account suspension or termination — as appropriate.

For a CSAE concern specifically, or if you believe a child is in immediate danger, please also contact local law enforcement or, in the United States, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline directly, in addition to reporting it to us.

Legal compliance

We cooperate with law enforcement and comply with applicable law regarding CSAE, including reporting apparent child sexual abuse material to NCMEC and relevant authorities where legally required of us.
